The 1950s was a decade of incredible change on farms throughout the U.S. Rapid population growth required increased food production. With that demand, small farms began to struggle as large farms became the norm.But on those small farms, countless young men and women were working hard and learning lessons that would serve as a sturdy platform for their lives as they eventually went on to diverse careers.This book is a collection of tales from those days, tales from a family of nine children and a hard working mom and dad. This family experienced a lifestyle that for years did not include electricity, running water, TV or much of anything else that could be labeled recreation.
